Sugama Sadhana Deepa

“What is the meaning and purpose of Human Life?” - Sooner or later everyone faces this intriguing question. Sages of yore gave a hope by proclaiming aloud that there is a divine purpose behind the creation in general and human life in particular. Transcending animality and reaching divinity through humanity is the grand vision of evolution according to Sri Guruji – Swami Vivekananda. In short, to make every man a living God is the purpose of the whole of creation.
Like the butter present in milk, God is, in essence, present in every human being. The seed needs all the favourable conditions to sprout and grow into a tree, milk needs the right processing for the extraction of butter. Likewise, the process of “Inner refinement” under the guidance of a realized master is inevitable to make God of a man.
Sugama Sadhana Deepa, as the name suggests, shows the path of simple daily spiritual practices (Sadhana) which accelerate the process of inner refinement and enable the manifestation of God from within.
The gist of daily sadhana can be summarized in these three processes:

  • Cleansing the heart and mind of unwanted emotions and thoughts (zero-ing)
  • Imbibing the Divine virtues (Hero-ing)
  • Persistently thinking and thanking God, the almighty, always in all ways

Sri Guruji, in Divine Park, lays down a simple guideline of minimum daily Sadhana for 24 minutes consisting of various spiritual practices as follows:

Sadhana Time
Japa in sitting posture 10 minutes
11 Prostrations 1 minute
Likhita Japa 3 minutes
Sri Rama Raksha stotram 3 minutes
Pranayama 2 minutes
Auto-suggestions 1 minute
Prayer for the welfare of all 3 minutes
Total 24 Minutes

Sugama Sadhana Deepa is a program conducted for all spiritual aspirants to introduce them to the path of Sadhana. This program gives its participants the inner meaning of all these spiritual practices and inspires them to make sadhana a part of their daily routine. Just as petrol is necessary for the vehicle to run, charging is necessary for the mobile phone to work, one realizes that sadhana is essential for a smooth daily routine culminating in a life of bliss and joy.
